Macquarie chief rakes in $26.5 million after profit surge
Macquarie Group Chief Executive Shemara Wikramanayake received $26.5 million in total compensation for the year, though her profit share was cut 25 percent to $21 million, the bank said Friday. The reduction reflects accountability for regulatory matters including a short-sale reporting scandal and the Shield Master Fund compensation, the annual report stated. Full-year profit surged 30 percent to $4.8 billion.
