Qld students among weakest for computer literacy, despite growing AI use

Two-thirds of Queensland's year 10 students failed to meet national computer literacy benchmarks despite extensive AI experience, the Australian Curriculum Authority found Wednesday. Proficiency dropped over 10 percent since 2022, falling four points below the national average—the lowest among mainland states. Year 6 students showed more consistent results, with about half achieving proficiency in technology.
