Garret Anderson, the former MLB star and all-time hits leader for the Los Angeles Angels, died at 53 on Thursday following a medical emergency at his home in Newport Beach, California. Over a 17-year career, Anderson accumulated 2,529 hits and won three All-Star selections and a World Series title in 2002.
