Victorian schools and universities were caught in a global cyber hack targeting Canvas, an educational management system used by roughly 9,000 institutions worldwide. Hackers calling themselves ShinyHunters claim to possess 3.65 terabytes of data including student names, emails and messages between teachers and families, demanding ransom from Canvas parent company Instructure.
