Dezi Freeman abused a dying Victoria police constable during a shooting that killed Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim De Waart-Hottart in August, a coroner's hearing was told Monday. Freeman, also known as Desmond Filby, was shot dead by police seven months later at a makeshift campsite 150 kilometers.
