Teen walks free from 109 charges after court accepts she lacked criminal
A 14-year-old Melbourne girl accused of terrorizing the Jewish community and deliberately running down a cyclist with a stolen car has walked free from 109 charges. Her lawyer successfully argued she was too young to understand the consequences of her actions under the legal doctrine of Doli Incapax. The victim suffered brain injury and remains in recovery.
