Ransom ‘paid’ to hackers who crippled online learning in Australia
Instructure, which operates Canvas used by hundreds of thousands of Australian students, confirmed Wednesday it reached an agreement with the cybercriminal gang that breached the platform and stole data from 275 million users. The company said stolen data was returned with deletion confirmation, though it stopped short of confirming a ransom payment.
