Victorian schools and universities were caught in a global cyber hack after criminals accessed Canvas, an educational management system used by about 9,000 institutions worldwide. The group ShinyHunters claims to have stolen 3.65 terabytes of data including student names, emails and teacher-student messages, demanding an undisclosed ransom from Canvas parent company Instructure.
