Construction starts on Burwood North metro station to boost housing and transport

Construction began on Sydney's Burwood North metro station, part of the $29 billion Metro West project, designed to alleviate transport and housing issues. Premier Chris Minns announced that up to 18,000 homes could be built around the station, with each of the nine stations costing about $600 million. Excavation at the site removed over 53,000 tonnes of spoil.
