Neale Daniher dies, aged 65, after long fight with MND
Neale Daniher, a champion VFL footballer and former Melbourne coach, died Monday at 65 after battling motor neurone disease. The four-time Daniher brother played 82 games for Essendon and coached Melbourne to the 2000 grand final. He became an Australian of the Year in 2025 for his FightMND charity work and the Big Freeze fundraiser.
