Man jailed for fatally amputating man's foot using circular saw
John Yalu has been sentenced to nine years in prison for fatally amputating 66-year-old Kalman Tal's foot with a circular saw in February 2022. Tal, who had schizophrenia and chronic pain, paid Yalu $5,000 to perform the amputation in a public park; Yalu panicked and left as Tal bled to death.
