Socceroos coach Tony Popovic extends contract on eve of World Cup opener
Australia coach Tony Popovic extended his contract through the 2025 Asian Cup on Thursday, less than 48 hours before the Socceroos face Turkey in their World Cup opener. Popovic, who took charge in October 2024, steered Australia to automatic World Cup qualification for the first time since 2014.
