The underwater forests coming back to life off the Sydney coast
Sydney's underwater forests are recovering thanks to cleaner waters and the Operation Crayweed initiative. Crayweed, which was wiped out along 70 kilometers of coastline, is being restored at 20 licensed sites. Ecologist Dr. Claudia Santori emphasized that successful restoration increases biodiversity and supports marine life, including abalone populations that thrive in crayweed habitats.
