Body found in search for missing Alice Springs girl Sharon Granites
Police found the body of five-year-old Sharon Granites on Thursday, five kilometres south of the Alice Springs camp where she disappeared Saturday night. NT Police Commissioner Martin Dole said a post-mortem examination will determine the cause of death. Suspect Jefferson Lewis, 47, recently released from prison, remains at large. DNA evidence links him to items found at a nearby riverbed.
