Toowoomba great-grandfather Russell Galt, 77, was admitted as Queensland's second-oldest newly appointed lawyer at a ceremony in Brisbane's Banco Court on March 16. Galt, motivated by a desire for lifelong learning and his father's dementia diagnosis, completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Southern Queensland in three and a half years. His achievement is an inspiration to his family.
