Drivers will get bigger tax deductions for car expenses from July
Australia's tax office raised the work-related car expense deduction rate to 91 cents per kilometre from July, up from 88 cents. The increase, effective for the 2026-27 financial year, includes a two-cent uplift accounting for fuel price volatility.
