Traffic fines issued by an AI-camera dismissed in WA
Western Australian authorities dismissed approximately 2,050 AI-camera traffic fines for seatbelt violations since October, totaling about $1 million. Despite issuing over 53,000 fines valued at more than $29 million, less than 4 percent were withdrawn. The Road Safety Commissioner plans to review all infringements as more cameras are set to be deployed statewide.
