Sydney couple fleeced bank of more than $40m, police allege
A Sydney couple arrested Tuesday faces charges for allegedly facilitating over $40 million in fraud for the Penthouse Syndicate, accused of being Australia's largest fraud ring. Huy Tin Nguyen, a former NAB and Commonwealth Bank employee, and his mortgage broker wife Thu Huong Nguyen allegedly defrauded major banks using corrupt insiders across Sydney's property market.
