Power bills set to fall despite Iran uncertainty
Australia's energy regulator cut maximum electricity rates from July 1, reducing bills up to 7 percent in Queensland and 5 percent in NSW, marking the steepest cuts since 2022. The Australian Energy Regulator attributed the reductions to falling wholesale costs driven by record renewable energy generation. Small businesses will see larger savings, with NSW rates falling up to 11 percent.
