Surfer dies after emergency rescue from distressed waters at Jervis Bay
A 43-year-old surfer died after being pulled from waters near Cape St George Lighthouse at Jervis Bay on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency services rescued both him and a 38-year-old companion from distress in the surf at 1.55pm, but the older man was found unresponsive and could not be revived. Police will prepare a coroner's report as investigations continue.
