Donald Shrubb, 76, has become a local celebrity in Sydney's Centennial Park after sitting outside his home on his walker nearly daily for over two years. The former railway supervisor and original 1978 Mardi Gras activist recovered from spinal surgery that doctors said would leave him unable to walk. Neighbors now regularly stop to chat, wave and bring.
