Writer Credits Rabbi's Shofar With Miraculous Recovery From Life-Threatening Infection
Sydney writer Nikki Goldstein recovered from a life-threatening infection after Rabbi Eli Schlanger sounded his shofar, an ancient ram's horn, by her hospital bed in 2012. Doctors called her survival miraculous. Schlanger was killed in the 2015 Bondi Beach massacre.
