After football, Daniher’s spirit shone in the fight of his life

Neale Daniher, Melbourne's coach during its 2000 grand final loss and later patron of FightMND, died May 25 at 65. Diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2014, he founded the Big Freeze fundraiser and dedicated his remaining years to helping others with the terminal illness. His advocacy ultimately surpassed his football achievements.
