Trump's Iran conflict costs Australia $15 billion in extra spending
Trump's war with Iran has cost Australia's government an extra $15 billion over four years after the conflict disrupted Middle Eastern oil supplies beginning February 28. Treasurer Jim Chalmers warned oil could surge to $200 a barrel, spiking unemployment and inflation above 7 percent. The government is spending $14.8 billion securing additional fuel supplies and cutting fuel excise.
