Passengers held on cruise ship in France after gastroenteritis outbreak
More than 1,000 passengers on the UK-operated cruise ship Ambition are being held in Bordeaux, France after 49 people fell ill with gastroenteritis. As of Wednesday, 48 passengers and one crew member displayed gastrointestinal symptoms, with three passengers isolated in cabins. The ship, which departed Belfast on May 8, has implemented enhanced sanitation protocols.
